The Aquaman actress's diary was read out during Depp's explosive, three-week High Court libel battle with British tabloid The Sun.

The actor was also asked about a text message he received from Ms Heard's father, David Heard, in the aftermath of the alleged incident, in which he said he knew his daughter needed help with her temper, as the actor did for his problems with drink and drugs.

The two incidents are among 14 allegations of violence towards Heard The Sun's lawyers have submitted, all of which the actor denies.

"I noticed nothing but her handsome skin", she said of a particular occasion in May 2016 when Heard claimed she had been left visibly bruised by Depp.

Malcolm Connolly has worked for Depp and his family for around 16 years and said the actor was "in emotional distress and panicking" after his fingertip was severed on a trip to Australia, the Daily Mail reports.

"I saw her throughout the day in good light, at close range, wearing no makeup", McMillen said.

Mr Depp replied: "No, sir". "Heard did not have any visible marks, bruises, cuts, or injuries to her face or any other part of her body". The barrister asked: "So, if a fight had taken place at 3.30 in the morning, do you think you would necessarily have known about it?"

Ms Roberts claimed Mr Depp tried to leave, repeatedly asking for the key to a vehicle, which Ms Heard refused to give back, adding it was later found in the couple's house.

However, the stylist said, "I never noticed anything like that when I saw her".

Ms Roberts also said she had seen a "red, swelling gash" on Mr Depp's nose, and claimed he had told her Ms Heard had thrown a can of lacquer thinner into his face.

Why public will not see Trump's financial records anytime soon
Since grand jury proceedings are confidential, it is unlikely that Trump's financial records will become public any time soon. The prosecutor and the House committees all issued subpoenas to third parties for the records, not the President himself.

"Ms Heard took great offence at what was clearly a harmless gesture and increased her abuse of Mr Depp in an extremely unpleasant manner", he said.

Another of the alleged assaults, on board a flight from Boston to Los Angeles in May 2014, was disputed by Stephen Deuters, Mr Depp's former assistant.

In the text, Mr Heard also wrote: "But I still love you like a father or brother". However, the footage showed Mr Depp had left the block on May 21 and not returned.

Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp is now suing British newspaper The Sun over a 2018 article referring to him as a "wife-beater" following the claims of his ex-wife Amber Heard.

She alleged she saw Heard "lunge violently at Johnny, pull his hair, and commit other aggressive physical acts against him".

According to The Hollywood Reporter, during his fifth and final day in the witness box, the star said that just before the alleged incident, which occurred after Heard's 30th birthday party in 2016, he had been told that his former business managers had "stolen my money", referring to cash he had mostly made from the Pirates of the Caribbean films.

The case arose out of the publication of an article on the Sun's website headlined: "Gone Potty: How can JK Rowling be "genuinely happy" casting wife beater Johnny Depp in the new Fantastic Beasts film?"

Connolly recalled Depp telling him that Heard had put a cigarette out on his face, and he saw a mark on the star, but no injuries on the actress.

Ms Heard is due to start giving evidence on Friday with the trial expected to last three weeks.
