Is Apple going to rename iOS to iPhoneOS?

All the sessions and keynotes are free for developers who are part of the Apple Developer app and on the Apple Developer website. Instead of providing a new iOS version for its iPad lineup, the company created a separate branch of its software focused on tablets - iPadOS. It'll air at 10 a.m. PDT/1 p.m. EDT on Monday, June 22. If you are an Apple device owner, you can also watch the keynote using the Apple Events app. This may not be as important as the other versions when you can check much of this information on the web, but it may be helpful if you'd rather not launch a browser and risk distraction when you're looking for some help with a project.

Ahead of Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) 2020, the Cupertino-based tech giant has released a Mac version of its Apple Developer app. Apple initially launched the app last past year but it was only available to iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV users to date.

However, Apple has then announced the iPadOS at WWDC previous year which was technically still derived from iOS but with several functionalities that are available only on iPad.

Apple is also expected to improve the photographic capabilities of the iPhone 12 Pro range, including improved low-light photography and better zoom. According to recent claims, the iOS 14 update will be released for all devices running its predecessor, iOS 13. Apple already offers the ability to record your screen from Control Centre, so it's an addition that makes a lot of sense. The "four year" time metric is most likely a way to steer clear of possessing gadgets that cannot be up to date to the newest edition of iOS by decreasing adoption charges.

As millions stay home due to the ongoing public health crisis, Apple is widely-tipped to bring some improvements to its FaceTime video call solution, which is the default for all iPhone and iPad users. Now, the company might let users pin widgets wherever they want. This could mean replacing Safari with Chrome and Mail with Outlook.

SoftwareThe core of WWDC, Apple, will preview its new software updates, and unveil iOS 14, iPadOS 14, tvOS 14, watchOS 7, and macOS 10.16, aside from showcasing its new development tools.
