Floyd Mayweather to stay retired, teases 2020 event with Dana White

Undefeated Champion Boxer Floyd Mayweather Announces He's Retiring

The timing of the statement seems freaky after he told Reuters earlier this week he was done with the "very brutal sport" of boxing. He continued: "You have got to know when to hang it up".

Mayweather, 44, last fought on an exhibition match against Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa for Rizin 14, a Japan-based mixed martial arts promotion. "I had a great career". Mayweather took to Instagram on Thursday night to post a photo of himself with UFC president Dana White sitting courtside together at the Clippers-Boston Celtics game November 20 at Staples Center. Before that, it was an August 2017 match against UFC star Conor McGregor that moved his career record to 50-0 where Mayweather made around $250 million.

The undefeated boxer will say one thing and then tell the media and press another thing and claim he never said that at the same time.

Mayweather spoke of "building his brand" in the UFC after he defeated McGregor two years ago so it is possible he could face McGregor in the octagon.

A lot of people online are making guesses about who Mayweather will choose to fight next if he really is coming out.

Tottenham Sack Mauricio Pochettino As Manager
Spurs are off to a rough start this season in the Premier League , sitting 14th in the table with just three wins from 12 matches. Pochettino's successor will have a tough act to follow, inheriting a squad lacking in areas like full back and central midfield.

LA Clippers' 'Big Two' debut in OT win over Boston Celtics
George made his Clippers debut last Thursday (last Friday, PHL time) at New Orleans and has played three games without Leonard. Not a huge lead by any means, but at the rate LA was scoring in this game, it felt like they had a mountain to climb.

Israel says attacks Syria military targets after rocket launches
One was located in Damascus's global airport, the other was nearby at the al-Mazzeh airport just outside the capital. Iranian officials have not immediately commented, but Russian Federation called the Israeli strikes a "wrong" move.

Could Mayweather be set to make his UFC debut?

"I'll still travel and do exhibitions", said Mayweather.

The resurgence of Mayweather rival Manny Pacquiao in 2019 has also fueled rumors of a potential rematch of their long-awaited 2015 bout which established a new combat sports PPV record at 4.6 million buys. He also stated that if they did fight, he would make "between $110 and $200 million" which would be almost $100 million more than he made during his fight against McGregor.

The social media posts comes just days after Mayweather confirmed in an interview with Rory Carroll of Reuter that he was retired.

Money Mayweather is seemingly ready to step into the UFC ring too, could that bring some sort of Conor McGregor rematch?
