The agreement will allow Verizon Wireless customers to stream Disney+ on the largest, most reliable network and provide yet another reason for customers to choose Verizon for the best content choices available.

Verizon says it has about 50 million customers on unlimited plans who are eligible for the free Disney Plus offer. On Sept. 22, Disney opened up pre-orders for "Founders Circle" subscribers starting November 12 at $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year (after a free seven-day trial).

If you're a Verizon customer and already signed-up for Disney+, you might want to request a refund. The offer extends to certain new and existing 4G and 5G customers as well as new Verizon Fios and 5G home internet customers.

At launch, Verizon customers can activate their Disney+ subscription and start streaming on a wide selection of mobile and connected television devices, including gaming consoles, streaming media players and smart televisions.

With competition from Apple's Apple TV+, WarnerMedia's HBO Max, and NBCUniversal's Peacock looming on the horizon, Disney has announced a variety of deals over the last few months to entice consumers to adopt Disney+ early.

"We're just so excited about the launch of Disney+ on November 12, 2019, that we're selecting a Disney fan to help us celebrate", the Reviews.org team wrote. But the company is offering the perk to new customers as a way to entice them to switch over to Verizon's cellular and broadband plans. Disney+, at launch, will carry thousands of titles from the studio's past and present, with a wide array of classic movies and TV shows, as well as new originals, such as The Mandalorian and the live-action Lady and the Tramp remake, amongst many others. Meanwhile, Disney stock rose nearly 2% to $132.50 a share.

The move by Disney and Verizon puts added pressure on AT&T, which is announcing details of its forthcoming HBO Max streaming service at an investor day presentation on October 29. Netflix Inc shares fell 4.3% to $266.03 on Nasdaq. The company does not give figures for unlimited phone plan customers.
