The tornado watch that has been issued for central and northern Florida means conditions are favorable for tornadoes to form.

Tropical Storm Nestor is charging into Florida's Gulf Coast, with heavy rain, strong winds, the risk of tornadoes, and a potentially risky storm surge. These areas will have the best chance to see coastal flooding and also tropical storm force winds.

Forecasters say the outer bands of Nestor or its remnants could bring a batch of rain and some gusty winds to the South Jersey region on Sunday.

"Potential Tropical Cyclone 16 has a 90% chance of developing into a tropical or subtropical storm", the NHC said.
